Thar be dragons here! The noxious smell of brimstone & sweltering heat would drive off most vacationers but for a hardy few, the Gorge offers a few unique activities. The massive Thorium mining operation here is a sight to behold. A Geologist's dream, this area is a gemstone treasure trove. For a nominal fee you may stake a claim & try your luck. Most do well initially but the available claims tend to run dry fast. The real ore is found deep in the Cauldron, off limits to the general public.
